Ursa Major, or the Great Bear, is the constellation in the northern sky that is commonly referred to as the Big Dipper. It is visible throughout the year and easy to identify. The bear has significance with ElevenNorth as it was one of the original design and logo concepts. Fun fact - the black bear is the only species of bear that inhabits all eleven states that make up the North East USA.
